In the year 3749, the Earth will be swamped under layers of thick pollution. Due to lack of care and consideration, the people of the world ignored the environmental warnings of pursuing their own interests.

Now, after a millennium of industrial waste, the planet needs help. Mercularius Corps, a leader in chemical advancement, was working with the atomic structure of Mercury when a sudden lab malfunction launched a vat of the deadly chemical into the oceans’ waters.

Nearly a decade later the waters are thick with pollution and mercury. Soon the inhabitants of the continents became infected and acquired a rare strand of the Minamata Disease first discovered in twentieth century Japan. The illness contorted the humans and signs of madness became evident. Since it was congenital, it can be passed from generation to generation.

The poor, with their addled minds, have started attacking people and making life hard in already desolate landforms. Global warming had caused the polar icecaps to melt and flood the planet deeper so the population also swarms closer, putting them at a greater risk to the exposure pollution.

In a desperate attempt, the world’s leaders have come together and started an organization called the Divers. These men and women use their special suits to shoot through dangerous waters and air, to go to all parts of the globe. There they will dodge those infected and begin the cleanup of Earth. Hopefully, by finding the causes and identifying physical toxins, these waste warriors can clean up the planet and make it inhabitable once more.
